SAN ANTONIO - THE ALAMO & THE RIVERWALK
It was raining in southern Texas on Thursday so we were unable to have our annual picnic at the beach. We did enjoy a few hours visiting the Alamo & Riverwalk in San Antonio on Friday morning, before boarding the bus the for our long drive north!
EMERGENCY STOP....BEAR RESCUE!
On our way home, we made an emergency stop at the San Antonio Comfort Suites Hotel to pick up a special friend that had be forgotten there on our way to Mexico! The "furry friend" (given to Anna V. by her boyfriend Nate) had overslept and missed the bus! Paul Charles ran into the hotel to make the rescue and came back to the bus carefully hugging the bear and said, "We leave no one behind!"
SHARING OF STORIES & PRAYER ON THE BUS
A highlight of the trip is the time we have on the bus to share stories about our week in Mexico and what God taught us. We each shared something and then prayed for the children and/or staff at the children's home.

SAYING.... "ADIOS"
It is always hard to say "Goodbye". Ray Hanson thanked us for blessing his children and for the tremendous amount of work we accomplished.
TOURING THE HOMES
The children live in comfortable homes with House Parents. They currently have three homes and are in the process of building the fourth. (Our team worked on roofing and sheet rocking the new house.) Each home is much like our homes (chores, homework, etc.) only on a larger scale!

Tyler is putting the finishing touches of paint on the ceiling beam in the new chapel!! Yahoo! We got the job done. A few teens work a little "over time" on Wednesday to finish the job. Thanks guys! Great Job!!!
